Kiwi Seed stock a selection of legumes which have been proven to be very successful here in Marlborough and NZ.

Lupins, lentils, peas, beans and vetch are large seeded and usually sown to improve soil nutrient levels, soil structure and organic matter. Traditionally those crops are sown as a monoculture or in a mix with cereals and turned into or onto the ground after a succesful growing period.

Small seeded annual and perennial clover varieties are used in autumn and spring mixes for the same reasons but also help provide a good habitat for beneficial insects during the summer months and often have a very attractive flower. They are part of perennial swards as well as specialised biomass and insectary blends.
