Your Dryland Seed Specialist in New Zealand

Leguminosae are one of the worlds largest plant family with about 19.400 species.

Compared to that Kiwi Seed only stock a small selection of leguminose plants but these have been proven to be very successful here in Marlborough and NZ.

Lupins and Peas are large seeded and usually sown during the colder months to improve soil nutrient levels, soil structure and organic matter. Traditionally those crops are sown as a monoculture or in a mix with cereals and turned into the ground the next spring.

Small seeded annual and perennial clover varieties are used in autumn and spring mixes for same reasons but also help provide a good habitat for beneficial insects during the summer months and often have a very attractive flower. They are part of perennial swards as well as specialised biomass and insectary blends.

Have a look in the dryland seed section for more information on what`s available only from Kiwi Seed and selected partners.
